Living simply in the wild

Wake UP Wednesday: Perseverance

We’ve been busy hibernating and we’ve lost track of what day it is….so you get a bonus of TWO posts today. Lucky lucky.

If anyone knows Rangers wife they know that she loves to dabble in a lot of things and tends to give up before mastery anything. Variety is the spice of life right?

So her latest endeavor was knitting. Over the past few days there has been hours upon hours of knitting, and un-knitting, and re-knitting, and youtube instructionals, there has even been some slight tantrums and maybe a few tears. She would have quit by now but she told herself she was going to stick with it, so stick with it she did.

She finished a hat today. Her very first finished knitting project. It’s not pretty, it is full of mistakes and mis-knits. But it is finished. It may have even given her enough to even start another project…after the soreness in her hands wears off.

So don’t give up, even if the outcome is less then pretty, you’ll  learn some valuable lessons along the way.

  1. So true…When things are not working out the way I want it to, these seem to be the times when I learn the most.
