To our cape wearing, fun loving, strong opinionated Junior…

You’ve always had your own agenda. From the time you entered my belly, sooner then expected, to the time you decided to show your face to the world, later then expected.

You came into this world quickly and quietly with big beautiful eyes.

You taught us that we had more patience then we ever thought we were capable of having. And for a whole year you taught us how much sleep one really doesn’t require in order to still function.

Although functioning may be an over ambitious term in this case.

You wake up ready to start each day and each night you hit your pillow in exhaustion.

The moments in between are filled with constructing lego tanks, hunting down bad guys, leaping from couch to couch like Batman, dancing, digging, running, racing, laughing, crying, unending questions,  unending eating, exploring, pretending, and loving.

Your 100% boy, even with long curls in your face.

Bumps and bruises, bugs and guts, guns and race cars, superheros and villains.

There’s no mistaking your all-boy.

Your tender soul and compassion is ever so present. Your gentle touch with animals and flowers.

Your tenderness to care for those who are sick. Your thoughtfulness and awareness to see something needs done and you do it.

You fight tooth and nail for what you want and if anyone stands in your way…well they better watch out.

 

You amaze me.

Everyday.

As you enter this 4th year i know we will see you grow and mature and change. We thoroughly enjoy the laughter you bring into each and every day. We are honored to be on this journey with you and are excited to see you transform into a handsome, loving soul.
