Living simply in the wild

Drum Roll Please…It’s the Big announcement time!

I can’t make you wait any longer. It’s time to let the cat out of the bag.

If you follow us on other social media outlets you’ve seen we’ve been leaving some clues along the way.

We’ve had all sorts of guesses, anywhere from we’re having another baby to we’re milking a car.

Before we get to the big announcement…i promise, i won’t take too long. Here are the zoomed-out pictures from the clues we’ve been leaving…

Clue #1

So….what do they all mean?

If you guessed Moving….you win!

I hate hiding things but if we told you every time we applied and interviewed for another job, you’d be bored with us quite quickly. We try not to get too excited when Ranger applies for jobs or when he even gets an interview because the chances of landing the job is pretty unlikely due to being such a competitive job field.

Last week Ranger was offered a full-time-permanent position, this means, full time, all year round, at Cape Disapointment State Park on the coast of Washington(Click the link to read about the park). In the Ranger world this is what your strive for. Securing a full time permanent position means that more doors will open, better benefits, you aren’t unemployed for X months out of the month. Being able to secure a permanent position only one season out of the Academy is amazing. This Rangers wife couldn’t be more proud!

We are pretty excited. It will be quite the change from the “Sunny Side” of Washington to the “Wet Side”. But if you know us, we’ve been dreaming of living back on the Wet side since we left it a little over a year ago.

We are pretty excited and ready for the next adventure.

We pack up and head out in two short weeks, so if the blog is a tad quiet it’s probably because the computer got misplaced in the mounds of tubs i’m throwing everything in.

I don’t want to jinx it but if I don’t lose my phone (or my mind) in the next few weeks I’d keep a close eye on Instagram for pictures of the new place.

Of course all photos on Instagram are also beamed to our PHOTO PAGE here on the blog. I know, you’re welcome non-instagram-users.

So there you have it. We’re going to the WEST (WET) SIDE!!!!

  1. Congrats! That is such big news in the ranger world! I hope your move goes smoothly and you love your new home! Also, I totally know what you mean about the application process πŸ˜‰ I don’t even give it another thought when my husband sends out an application and he is permanent status. It is such a competitive field they are in!
